What to expect

A judgment-free conversation

What we can help with

  • A calm, non-judgmental person to talk to
  • Peer support from people who understand recovery
  • Help finding sober living, meetings & treatment
  • Navigating rent, housing, and next-step resources
  • Support for family members and loved ones
  • Encouragement on the hard-but-not-emergency days

What the warmline is not

  • Not a 911 emergency line
  • Not a suicide or crisis hotline — that's 988
  • Not medical, legal, or clinical advice
  • Not a guarantee of financial assistance

If you're ever in danger or crisis, we'll gently help connect you to 988 or 911 right away.

How it works

Call, and a real person answers

Phone: (916) 877-6237  ·  Warmline hours: Every day, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Pacific.

During hours: your call rings through to a warmline supporter who's ready to listen. There's no script to get through and no wrong reason to call.

After hours: leave a message and we'll call you back — usually the same or next day. If you can't wait, please reach 988 (call or text) any time, day or night.

Who it's for

You don't have to be at rock bottom to call

People in recovery

Newly sober or years in — a craving, a hard night, a lonely afternoon. Talk it out before it grows.

Sober living residents

Adjusting to house life, conflict with a roommate, or figuring out your next step. We'll help you think it through.

Families & loved ones

Loving someone in addiction is exhausting. Get support and resources for yourself, too.
